She was born in 1943 in Büren soum of Hövsgöl aimag. She has five children and received the second-level Mother’s order. She worked as a tailoring master in the social service sector.

She was born with the help of a Russian obstetrician, and initially she had the name of Tanya. When Tuya finished elementary school, the names of the girls with Russian names were changed adding Tuya at the end and it was written in the personal record like Oyuntuya, Sarantuya, Odontuya. She shifted to the 23d school at the Usni street following her older brothers and sisters. The Usni street was very interesting. The Chinese used to carry water on a horse cart, called 'ton-ton'. There were Chinese guanz (restaurant) and shii-yanz (Chinese theatre) at the end of the street. The present day two-storey museum building (the Fine Arts Museum) looked like the tallest and the most splendid building at that time with lots of lights.

She studied the ninth grade at night school and during the day she worked at the printing house. She went to study in the printing vocational school in Russia but she came back because she gave birth to a baby. She didn’t have the chance to go back and she became a tailoring master. Her mother was a very skilled person and perhaps it influenced her to choose her own vocation. Whatever order their darga gave, if he said they had to fulfill the industrial plan, immediately they talked over the matter with the workers and did it. Oyuntuya always tried to participate and be the example for the others in everything she did like attending lectures, art and artistic performances. In 1974 she went to Ulan-Ude for a period of one year to enhance her master’s qualification. She worked in the social service sector in Hentii, Hövsgöl and Dornod aimags. She came to the city in 1976.

The schoolchildren gathered in the dormitory in September and those who lived in the nearby sum went home for two or three days. Those who lived far went home only after school was over. One child’s family gave one cow and 4-5 sheep or goats for yearly meals. The girls and the boys were woken up in the morning by the sound of a trumpet and did exercises. They went to have tea in an orderly fashion. The homework was done on time. The children who lagged behind were entrusted to the advanced children. At the quarterly vacations the boys were made to saw wood, and the girls milked cows at the farms thus teaching them labor since a young age.

The master in charge of the factory was involved in everything. He was in charge of the good and the bad of the workers, and he even was in charge of their personal lives. I tried to involve the others in the standard norm, quality, art and sports. My work was evaluated together with it all. In 1991 the mothers with four children were pensioned off no matter how old she was, disregarding personal requests. Being confused, I retired then.
