Summary of Interview 090733B with Tsedev

He talked about the cultural campaigns conducted nationwide and about some incidents that happened to him at this time. He used to teach at the literacy group then, and he compared the events shown in the movies ‘The New Script Teacher’, ‘Awakening’, ‘One of the Many’, with what happened in his life. We can find many interesting things in his interview about the reasons for conducting the cultural campaigns in Mongolia, how the people accepted it and what was its result. He thinks the cultural campaign was the main impetus to disseminate culture in the lives of individuals. Also, one thing that is interesting to him, although he doesn’t know if it’s the result of the cultural campaign or the market economy. It’s the lack of lice. He mentioned at that time lice and dirt was considered as number one issue. He mentioned that he had observed all this disappeared with the coming of the market economy.

The result of democracy was freedom for the Mongolians, independent work, the understanding of the advantages of the private property and development of free business. There was a time when his party (MPRP) also thought about, reflected and directed the resolutions for the sake of democracy. He also said that step by step we shifted to democracy.
