Summary of Interview 080609B with Nyamjav


In this interview Nyamjav continues with his story about his childhood and school years. He tells about films that he saw, about how he looked after his younger siblings. He compares his school with those of his siblings. After finishing the Pedagogical Institute in 1969 at the age of seventeen he became a teacher. His first job assignment was in Jargalan sum, from where he was sent to Haliun sum. In Haliun he worked for seven years in the local school, during which time he got married. Then he returned to Jargalan sum. He tells about his wedding and his job as the head master of elementary classes in Jargalan.


Nyamjav is fond of hunting, especially marmots. He tells about the marmot meat. He believes his hobby to be influenced by his elders. Both his father and grandfather were good hunters. Nyamjav conveys some hunting stories passed down from his grandfather.
