She was born the second daughter of a family with seven children. At the age of 3-4 she fell off a fence damaging her eye and gradually she became blind. But at the age of nine she went to the 29th school and thus her eyes were opened. The fact that she has learned to read and write even though she was blind meant her eyes became open. As a painstaking, earnest little girl who strove to learn every new thing she used to learn everything possible and she studied English and music while she attended secondary school. She graduated the tenth grade with the ordinary schoolchildren from a night school and she passed the entrance exams to the Institute but there were no Braille books and textbooks for her and no teacher to teach them. As a result, Urtnasan wasn’t admitted by the Institute. But she wasn’t discouraged. Since her childhood she realized education was necessary for everyone. Often people are unfeeling towards those who struggling in life. Instead of helping them, they often tend to abandon them and provide excuses by listing their own problems. But the world has more kindhearted, compassionate and helpful people than selfish people. Therefore the Orhon private Institute accepted her and she took their exams and, and they determined her knowledge and skill level. Urtnasan used to ride two buses from the northern part of Ulaanbaatar to the Orhon school, which was situated in the southern part of the capital. She studied for 4-5 years and graduated from the school. It was the time of scarce transportation and food. She overcame all this without discouragement. She acquired a good knowledge of English and she even assisted the ordinary good-sighted children and also she raised her own family. Surely the life history of a girl small in size, but big in accomplishments, blind but with great knowledge will be an example for anyone.
