He has been in such highly responsible positions like the editor-in-chief of Mongolian Youth Truth newspaper, and the deputy editor-in-chief of Ünen newspaper. In 1969 he was appointed the deputy chief in charge of Mongolian TV and Radio programs. Then he was the head of the Mongolian Television. Besides being a good darga he was a good journalist. Having retired, he didn’t sit around but he published many books. Choijil is an author who would never let grass grow under his feet. When he represented Mongolia in the Soviet Union as a special reporter, he published two thick books entitled The Friend’s Land is Never Too Far. He has published dozens of his works like Under the Hanoi Sky, Morning of the Lake (a novel), Destined Meeting (novel), Unforgettable Cosmic Days, White Bank of River, Blue Wave of Atmosphere, Fate and the Universe. I like reading his books because his writing is full of amazing gorgeous Mongolian language and he is very keen and clear-sighted about everything and he expresses it in a way that reflects clearly in our mind. He writes grammatically correct expressions which are acceptable and instructive to us, journalists. Unfortunately, the state hasn’t recognised the great labor of this great journalist and he hasn’t been rewarded. But I’m glad I had the chance to talk to him about the disadvantageous parts of his life. By reading this interview you’ll know about the formation and development way of the Mongolian journalism, press, radio and television. The books he wrote in his last years of his life like “Fate and the Universe 2”, “The Last Stop of a Long Trip”, “My Lucky and Sharp World” tell us about ordinary and simple life. He has written the social cast of that time with his own skilled narrative and they are amazingly fine works. I think they could be manuals not only for us but also for the anthropologists.
