Vandan started his working career as a tractor and combine driver. The biography of a person is being written here who at the age of twenty years had met the requirements of becoming the hero of labor. He has been awarded the order of the Red Banner of Merit of Labor. He has become a driver being driven by the dream of his youth. He said he had a dream to become a hero of labor when he was young and he was one who worked well enough. He was employed at the fifth inter-city transportation base as a driver. He is the representative of one part of the history of auto transportation development of Mongolia. There were several large auto transportation bases in the capital in the socialist period. The drivers delivered to the countryside various kinds of goods from the city such as fodder, salt, soda, construction materials, agricultural technology, candies and cookies. On the way back to Ulaanbaatar they transported cattle skin, hair and wool. They transported from the aimags to the sums. They delivered the grass and the fodder to the brigade farms. Just to Gobi-Altai he used to travel 7-10 days by ZIL-130 truck. The driver’s cleverness and the skills of a loader are necessary to load goods on to a ZIL-130 truck with a trailer.
