I had an opportunity to talk with a benevolent grey haired woman who has been living in Tünhel village of Mandal sum of Selenge aimag, though she is from Böhmörön sum of Uvs aimag which is the frontier territory of Mongolia. She has delivered and raised seven children and along with that she taught. The biography of Nasanjargal is a common image of Mongolian women and in particular the countryside women of the socialist period. She has talked about it in detail.
She was the ‘owner of the five excellent marks’ and the darga of a group council in the school. In elementary school she had a wish to become a teacher. Having graduated the seventh grade, she was trained as an elementary school teacher, and she came back to her homeland. The children of that time often went into sports and art. She told how the children used to spend their spare time. Nasanjargal went into sports and participated in many competitions and received awards.
