Summary of Interview 090734B with Dashzeveg
The important part of this interview is the part where he describes the museum which shows the historical path of the Hishig Öndör school, which was established in 1924. Many famous Mongolian people came from this ordinary countryside school. Things that reflect the periodic school development history are placed in the museum. He told how poor the school supplies were when the school was first being established and how the teachers of that time used to teach the classes without textbooks. Also, he told about the child’s deel that was exhibited in the museum, and it was the deel that the first Mongolian cosmonaut Gurragchaa used to wear when he was small.
Also, there was a very interesting part where he talked in detail about the precise history of Duke Sandui that was not mentioned in any other historical document. He brought up this subject as a result of the school museum exhibition. He was proud of his school with a past that showed extensively the history of introducing into Mongolia the new culture, the culture of European and world literacy. He said there was no other school like it.
