Handsüren was born in Tarialan sum of Uvs aimag which is situated in the frontier of Mongolia. She has been creating one part of the history of the Mongolian Opera. In 1958 she first came to Ulaanbaatar. When she was in the 3rd and 4th grades, she used to teach the lower grade schoolchildren music lessons and her teachers rewarded her with notebooks. The Hero of Labor of Mongolia, the state prize winner, musician Luvsansharav guai sensed and recognized her at the age of sixteen and he employed her as an artist at the Opera Theatre. Our opera singers were trained in the Soviet Union and Bulgaria at that time. Haidav, Zagdsüren and Pürevdorj were the first opera singers. Handsüren emphasized in her interview that there was the time around 1960-1970s when the professional singers and the dancers put on the best part of world classical works. The choir class had almost 40 people and one of them was Handsüren. She sang some main opera roles and was a concert solo singer. She said her work career was irreversibly connected with these artists. The artists of the socialist period often went to the countryside. Handsüren didn't think herself too good for this, and she went with her collective on a 45-day and a two month long trip. She recalled the funny and adventurous events that happened on these trips. Very energetic by nature and very active in the social work Handsüren didn’t sit around in the market period. She is one of the energetic Mongolian women who tirelessly labor mobilizing all their strength for the sake of life.
