D. Zembee obtained an elementary education. He was a herder until he completed military service in 1957-1960 and became a driver. Since then he worked as a driver in various organizations up until his retirement.
In the beginning of the interview he talks about the collectivization process and how negdels in the Gobi region used an irrigation system to grow vegetables and animal fodder. He also talks about life as a secondary school student, religion, the cultural campaigns and life during socialism.
In the middle part he talks about privatization, how during that period herders and those who worked for the state were awarded livestock in different manners. He also mentions about how technology was introduced during socialism, urban life and foreign relations.
In the final part he discusses environmental issues, family policies during socialism and funeral rituals.
