Summary of Interview 091014A with Dulamsüren


She was born in1949 in the land called Shuurt of Bayan-Uul sum of Arhangai aimag. There are seven children in the family. Her parents and grandparents are herders. In 1968 she was qualified as an agricultural accountant in the finance and economics vocational school.


The secondary school of the sum had a dormitory and teachers with the educators. She was responsible for the children to make them do their homework in the evening hours. She made them go to sleep at 11 pm and went home to have a rest. The school had a special stoker and it was heated by a stove. There were 1-2 cooks and a dish washer. It was time when a few other types of collective had been established, and some years had passed since culture was introduced in the countryside.


The boys grazed the livestock and the girls milked them. They started assisting from the age of 6-7 and work-education dominated. But the students didn’t pay the tuition fee but they got a scholarship of 180 tögrögs. They had the opportunity to study in the student hostel. There were a bookkeeper of the hostel and a person on duty. The hostel had special regulations. After graduation Dulamsüren started her working career from the agricultural management department. It was a large administration with economic and training divisions and an agricultural section with all agricultural sectors specialists. It managed the agriculture of all the sums. When she was in elementary school, the cultural campaign had been carried out. It influenced not only the households but it had great impact on the agricultural sector. Cleaning the livestock hashaa and preparing the fodder. The brigade representative distributed the press. Competitions were organized among the brigade bases and even certificates were given.
