Summary of Interview 091014B with Dulamsüren
In the 1960-1980s religion was closed to state officials like us. It was the time when the religious goods and the golden gods were kept in the chests of the ‘ails’. There was a lama from her mother's side who was arrested and killed. In the 1970s there used to be lamas’ meetings, reading the sutras just when the airag was still plentiful in Battsengel sum.
There was a time of a married life and we used to be the two supporting columns of a family. Her husband was a PE teacher and a trainer and he used to go to many places to participate in various competitions. In 1992 while he was on his way to the city, a drunk driver crashed the bus he was in. He crashed into the middle of the bus and her husband was killed. It was a deep shock for them. She still grieves and mourns. He passed away in his peak age when he had worked for the state. We used to get little allowance for losing the bread-winner until the youngest child reached 18.
