Summary of Interview 091018A with Riimaa
I had the opportunity to meet and talk with Riimaa, the younger sister of the Labor Hero of the MPR, a well known organizer and initiator, the hero Minjüür. Riimaa was the one who tested and introduced the majority of the new projects started by the hero Minjüür like producing curds and eezgii at the dairy products factory, how to help deliver sheep and goats without any loss, and how to fatten lambs and kids. One official from the aimag who came to examine the work scolded Riimaa at the pasture, but having seen many fat lambs with big tails ceased scolding and went back in complete silence. Riimaa who has witnessed six governments said,
There has been a government that mashed my burkheer (wooden barrel used in distilling) and went away
Owing to Bal darga they have managed for some time
Recently everything has come out because of those good-for-nothing children
Just when it seemed all was becoming orderly, suddenly it was changed
I hope our governing dignitaries will take into consideration what a benevolent old woman over 90 has told us about the state. Though she has never been educated, she strove in the collective to make a living, disregarding sleep. The life of this benevolent old woman with an amazing practical sense of life is one part of history of our nation’s development in the socialist period.
