Summary of Interview 091050A with Nyamsüren

Nyamsüren was born the third son of Sodnomhorloo in the 6th bag of Ih Tamir sum of Arkhangai aimag. He graduated from economic vocational school and worked as an accountant for negdel accounts as well as a general accountant.

He took part in the foundation of the ‘Gerelt zam’ negdel [founded in the 1930s, one of the first in the country], guarding the cooperative property and keeping accurate records. He introduced many new things like planting grain and wheat, establishing fodder production, and introduced new technique and technology. This all strengthened the cooperative financially, and it increased its capital, becoming the leading cooperative in the aimag. The young herders who were sent to work at the collective were trained to be good herders. The workers were rewarded and given incentives based on their work.
